The Big Day

We were up at 3:30 am and at the Bus stop at 4:00 am. We finally loaded the bus at 5:15 am after 5 bus loads of people ahead of us went to the Metro. Once inside the Metro we filled up the train with everyone at our stop, and it was the first stop on the Green line. The cars were all over capacity. Multiple people reported injuries in the Metro, including getting hit by a train. Finally we got through to the Blue entrance to the Capitol. We waited for several hours and after disagreements with line situations, there was a small mob that formed outside the security entrance.
After all we got in. It was not easy being 5' 6" and working a crowd of giants and people unwilling to miss a second of their Saintly leader, but I managed some shots of the ceremony and the days experiences. I will be wrapping up my trip over the next few days. I hope you enjoy these.

I've been very disappointed in the festivities. Obama hasn't walked on water or surrendered the nation to terrorists. From all I read and say on TV, one of those was supposed to happen today. Looks like another 170 or so million down the drain!
