Here we go on another whirlwind adventure... I will be leaving tonight for our nation's capitol so that I can witness the swearing in of the next president of the United Sates. As much as I and most of you disagree with his stances and political positions, it is truly a historic event, as Senator Obama becomes the first African American President.
As fate may have it, Daniel Houghton, my friend and partner in crime came across tickets to the ceremony from Congressman Westmoreland out of Georgia. So we will be in the middle of it all. We will be there for a total of six days exploring the city and all of the celebration that will be going on before and after the 20th.
I will be posting on my blog every night comments and photographs from our experience. With a crowd of 2 million plus, there are bound to be some interesting photographs. I encourage you all to check it out and follow our journey as we experience this historic occasion.
