Boswell and the DCCC are Liars and Thieves

Above is my copy of the picture, here is where they used it:

The following has been sent to countless media outlets and to David Boswell, and the DCCC.

As a Photojournalism and Political Science major at WKU, I was very surprised and appalled to see that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee stole a photograph of mine and used it in a negative ad against Brett Guthrie without my permission.

It isn't enough for David Boswell to allow lies to be run on his behalf, but now he is allowing illegally acquired photographs to be used in attack ads. As a photojournalist I have been making pictures of Brett Guthrie for his campaign's use. Now Boswell supporters have sunk to a new low by stealing a student's artwork. This is unlawful and undeniably theft! I was shocked to see that a lawmaker and a group familiar with the law would knowingly break a law to get artwork that does not belong to them.

By not disavowing the actions of the DCCC, Boswell is allowing them to speak on his behalf. It is a shameful act that they would throw away morals and principles and engage in this kind of activity for political gain.  This is no different than the illegal theft of music off of the Internet. Just because you see it and want it, doesn't mean you can have it. I, as the owner and photographer was never asked anything about my work being used by anyone other than the Guthrie Campaign.

In class when you use something and do not credit the artist or author, it is called plagiarism and is grounds for immediate failure and the assignment is taken. I am calling on David and the DCCC to take this illegal advertisement off of the television and Internet IMMEDIATLEY! You stole my creation and took credit for my work. You are breaking the law and I want you to stop using my artwork! Apparently your party is not only in favor of redistributing wealth, but also ideas, art, and tangible possessions. Please follow the laws we must all abide by. We expect nothing less from an elected official and his surrogates.
