Bunning Declares he is Running, Many Skeptical

Today Junior Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning (south gate) declared that he IS running for re-election. Amid confusion that he hadn't specified with his colleague, Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell. Just yesterday Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo announced that he had decided to run against Bunning again for the Senate seat. Bunning, a fiscal conservative has been one of the main officials to speak out against many of the bailouts and federal aid packages to help stimulate waning corporations.
In this nobody's opinion, Bunning has served his state well as I'm sure he will continue to, however his time has passed and we need some new blood in Washington. Many names have been tossed around including Rep. Geoff Davis (Hebron) and Sec. Trey Grayson (Richwood). Both have their downsides, namely Davis's lack of name recognition outside of his district, and Grayson may be better suited for Frankfort in 2012.
