R.I.P. Tony Snow

Today we lost a true conservative, political and journalistic genius, and Kentucky native. Tony Snow past away this morning at Georgetown University Hospital at the age of 53. Snow, born in Berea, KY, he grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Snow was a speech writer for former President George H.W. Bush, and Press Secretary for the current President George W. Bush. Snow was a craftsman of words and a true architect of the presidency of Bush 34. He leaves behind a wife, Jill and two children. He will leave a void in the political world and leave behind a kindness rarely seen in government today. May he rest in peace and be in a better place now.

On a personal note, I had the outstanding pleasure to meet Secretary Snow in February of 2008 at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington D.C. Snow was the keynote speaker at the conference. He stayed around after the speech to shake hands with and talk to people for a good hour and a half afterwards. I had the honor to have my picture taken with him. He was the kindest person I have met in the political realm. He was most genuine and original.
