Liberal Universities... gotta love 'em

English 200....... enough said. I knew this was going to be a trip and a half. We spent the first day analyzing a 10 page children's book. The first sign of possible entertainment on this stage was when a Femanazi went on a quick rant about how the mother bunny in the book is stuck in the tragic cycle of motherhood by a tradition based society... The next eyebrow raising literature we read were a series of poems and pieces all referring to nudity, love making, and relations with minors. We recently watched the Italian movie Il Postin, (The Postman) this is a story about a postman who falls in love with a girl and with the assistance of Chilean exile Communist and poet Paublo Neruda. I'm waiting until Monday when we start to discuss the book "Baby Jack" by Frank Schaeffer. The book is about a 17-year-old boy who enlists in the Marines following 9/11/01 against his fathers wishes. I'm sure this will a topic of several upcoming posts.
