25 things I learned in DC...

Since I have been up here I have learned a few things. If you have ever listened to the comedian Tim Wilson, "there 100 things everyone needs to know to survive in (DC)... well here 25 of them..."

25 things I learned in DC...

1.) If you lie on the floor of the metro and take pictures of a gnome, you will be “that guy.”

2.) The restroom is always as far away from your office as possible

3.) You can tell anyone anything on a tour and they will believe you

4.) Don’t do anything stupid anywhere or you will end up on a blog (www.dcinterns.blogspot.com)

5.) Getting in the wrong senate elevator can be awkward… sorry Lindsey Graham…

6.) DC is a pretty good place to be when you turn 21

7.) Aerosmith will rock on forever!

8.) The George Washington Masonic Temple is very creepy and you will have your heart ripped out if you go there.

9.) 5 guys + 1, one bedroom apartment = insane!!!

10.) Anything left in the halls of congress without a name on is free game, and works well to decorate your apartment… ☺

11.) E Pluribus Unum- Out of Many, One

12.) If you walk slowly on a tour, you will lose the congressman

13.) If you are wearing loafers, do not play softball or you will rip your pants, especially if you have not played a sport since 3rd grade.

14.) Mail never ends…

15.) Adult Beverage Stores close at 10:00 pm … every night.

17.) The warm gust of air you feel as you walk past Nancy Pelosi’s office is the gate to hell opening up.

18.) Disney helped them build the Capitol Visitor Center

20.) 40 Gigabytes is not enough to hold all pictures of DC for 12 weeks

21.) Union Station is an “interactive” movie theater… and is mildly sketchy but still worth the 5 dollar movies every Tuesday

23.) I think I am the only conservative to go to the Whole foods by American University…

24.) Congress is run by thousands of cocky 25 year olds and 535 old arrogant people…
