Michael Steele is the First African American RNC Chairman. Steele, the former Lt. Governor of Maryland, and Chairman of GOPac. Steele was the one responsible for the famous phrase Drill Baby Drill at the 2008 RNC National Convention in St. Paul Minnesota.
After his eight year service to the GOP, Mike Duncan from Inez, KY dropped out of the race after the third round of voting.
